平常如果有機會跟一群女孩子hang out，其間不時聽到以下的埋怨：「點解呢個世界咁多靚女，但靚仔都唔多個？」，又或者「點解靚仔多數都係gay架？」，接著就評頭品足身邊的一班「唔靚仔」。
雖然我無能力去改變靚仔的supply，但我可以解釋「天下無靚仔」的現象。
記得有一次看黃子華，他笑說現代女士化妝有如進行批擋工程，叫天下間的男士小心D：你女朋友出街的樣子跟她的廬山真面目可能是不可相比，當心見到她落妝後的樣子會嚇到嘔血！我在網上亦看過一個醜小鴨如何靠化妝變天鵝的youtube，簡直是嘆為觀止！難怪我細妹成日叫我買定D莎莎、卓悅的股票看門口！
這就解釋了點解世上靚女比靚仔多 — 因為9成9的靚女都帶有後天加工的成份，而且科學進步，化妝的威力差不多可以勁過photoshop執相。而男士一般較崇尚「天然」，少有去搽下粉底搞下眼睫毛，更不用說每晚做mask每星期去做個facial。通常恤個靚髮gel好個頭就算了。
所以女士們，你們應該要學懂欣賞我們男士帶有瑕疵的自然美，standard不要set得太高了！話雖如此，有一句公道話我倒要為女士說的：美男子都是拿來說說罷了，對於真正拍拖結婚的對象，女士通常都沒有男士般注重外表 (莫非… 是因為她們已經絕望？！) 在這方面男人絕對是比女人膚淺得多！

when guys are asking women to have gd figure, be skinny, why guys never took gd care of their body?
most of them are skinny/weak/fragile like as if a typhoon can damage them.
if not skinny/weak/fragile, they would be fat or look unhealthy.
so my question is why u guys set so many standards for us, whereas when we ask for just 1 standard – “presentable”, then we are known as setting the standard too high.
For me, presentable at least – not smelly..so many guys in hk, they don’t care about their body smell….always said this is the fragrant of men, a symbol of a man…but i think this is total bullsh1t 😀
I am not ready to say that all men are more shallow, although i do not deny that this group is well represented out there. Mind all of us, girls are typically much more critical to each others’ looks, while men are blessed with man-brains that immediately grid-out, ignore, and forget the less than pleasant views. Therefore I do not buy the feminist’s argument of the objectification of woman for voyeuristic pleasure of men, at least less so then the innate narcissistic vanity of the consumer.
Guys are realists; they work within the limited realm of what they can get, for which Seinfeld’s 5% rule provides a good metric. Instead of stereotyping and bitching along with the generalist’s opinion of dilapidating male appearances, that by the way only accumulates negative energy and solicits resistance, girls are much better off to stay focused on their specific 5% and examine why the cream of that crop has not fallen onto their laps. After all, no one is an innocent bystander – If one is at the top of the food chain, get ready to feast; otherwise, starve willingly, and quietly.
So Plato I do agree that it is a matter of subjective standard. If we all understand where our 5% land, the issue of 天下無靚仔 goes away since everyone has a fair share of 2.5% stench and 2.5% sugar.
